SHARING YOUR PROJECTS
January 2019 | I am happy to display photos of your paper-pieced projects.
Christmas Cardinal "Barn Quilt" by Sherry Watson
I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your paper pieced quilt patterns! In the last year, I have started painting barn quilts and I have used the Christmas Cardinal pattern on a barn quilt for my private home. ...Painting a paper pieced pattern is much more labor intensive than a traditional quilt block pattern as there is more taping involved and it is harder to graph out the pattern. It is however, fun to do one occasionally for the challenge. I have done quite a bit of sewn paper pieced patterns, but the Christmas Cardinal is the first one I have attempted painting.

Pickles by Joan Teri N.
I finally made the pickles in a jar...I decided to make the square into a pot holder.
I preserved pickles this year (along with sliced pears, cinnamon applesauce, and blackberry jam).
Happy Holidays!

Purple Pickle Potholder by Linda Worland, Paper Panache
When I received Teri's pickle potholder (above), she inspired me to make one for my sister and brother-in-law, whose annual Christmas party we had just traveled to. They grew their own cucumbers and made their first batch of pickles this year, and served them at the party. Yum!

Happy Monkey Pillow by Judith Szanky
Thank you for a fun mystery.
This ex-mystery is not yet available
and is in the Coming Gallery

Chrismon by Joan Amundsen, Hatfield PA
Thought you might be interested in seeing the small banner I recently finished for my church. This was the Chrismon which I did in the 11 X 20 size. It was very well received and I was asked to do it in a 4 X 6 ft size, which is becoming quite a challenge.
I apologize to these three makers, who sent their photos in August/September, and I managed to over look them at that time:
Thank you for sharing these with us!
Woven Double Wedding Ring by Pat Campbell
I made it as a throw since the bride and groom were an older couple and really "didn't need anything". The lady I made it for to give as a gift said they liked greens so that is what I did.

O Holy Night by Lisa
Thanks so much for the pattern – thoroughly enjoyed making this for Christmas!
