PAPER PANACHE, IMAGES & IDEAS FOR PAPER PIECING
9/9/98 (Revised 2/8/99) Page

Fill The Empty Flower Cart. Sydney Dickson sent me a picture
of her flower cart and was telling me about her fix-it...she used a yo-yo flower
to cover over a boo-boo in her piecing. This led me to see the obvious necessity
for an empty cart to fill with flowers made of yo-yos, applique, an animal print,
or what-have-you. Click on the cart icon below to get to the pattern.
In
1/99 we had a great little Challenge doing just this...filling carts,
and we had an online vote for Viewer's Choice. Take a stroll through
the "Quilt Show".
"Your idea of an "open" cart for yo yo flowers sounds
great. Actually you can mention my boo boo if you want. I think that is how some
great ideas emerge. You goof....then have to fix it! ...I never cease to be amazed
at the creativity of quilters. One idea spawns dozens more!"--Sydney Dickson

Guild Name Tags...Isobel Arvin wrote: "Just now I'm adapting
your flower quilt label to make a name tag for a friend. We wear
name tags to our quilt guild meetings. She is a new member. I reduced
the pattern, made it shorter, and used the computer to imprint her
name. It's going to be nice!"
