The "pattern" for the flower and leaves was a country rose that I picked from my Sister's garden. | Here is my entry, I loved the butterflies as they are, and I just made a nice setting. On the top butterflies are created, they fly around and then they fall apart again. It was difficult to make a good [scan], there are all little beads on top, and gold thread. I am very satisfied with the result and want to thank you for the butterfly pattern, which was the starting point. | [This is] "Butterfly Kisses." It was a challenge to put together but I am tickled with the result. | I shrunk the butterfly to 3 in. and added the borders to the wings. I adapted 2 patterns from Easy Machine Paper Piecing by Carol Doak---I made them smaller and added and subtracted lines. | I made my butterfly Sept 11 as I just couldnt work on
anything I had in hand but needed some thing to do! I used my own
handdyed fabric and was very pleased with the results. 10/21: It is my fault that Amanda's entry has been posted late. I apologize to Amanda and to the viewers for this mistake.--Linda |
