TO ADOPT A UFO:
-------------------------------------------

SELECT YOUR PROJECT from the UFO Files pages. Each UFO File will include a photo of the contents of the package, the kind of project it is, the state of origin, a bit of its "story,"a list of contents, and a comment from me.

PLEASE NOTE...TWO ADOPTION PROCESSES: Some adoptions are Simple Adoptions, which are first-come, first served. The other is Silent Auction Adoptions, which should give more people an opportunity to adopt. All auctions will last one week.

SIMPLE ADOPTIONS. Simple Adoption is done by form. I will send a return email to the person who sends the first completed form. The email will contain a link to make payment by Visa, Mastercard or Paypal within 3 days. If not received within 3 days, I will move to the next timely form. All others who submit forms will receive an email notice of regret. However, I will keep all forms until the UFO has an official new home.

SILENT AUCTION ADOPTIONS. Please read the UFO Silent Auction Info page before bidding. I am the auction provider, so there will be no offsite registration. You will simply bid by form. Bids will be posted at least once a day, and outbid notices will be sent. At the end of the auction, the winner will receive an email with payment instructions.

THE "ADOPTION FEE" covers postage and transaction costs. It is designed to reimburse both the donor and me for postage (in Simple Adoptions). Donors may profit a bit more from silent auction adoptions.

ONE ADOPTION PER PERSON PER MONTH. With either Simple or Auction Adoptions, you may adopt only one UFO per month. This should give other adopters a chance.(There may be revisions to this rule after Adoption Reality sets in.)

ADOPTED UFOs will be removed from the availability list as soon as the Adoption Fee has been paid.
